European Refinement
at The Autobahn Country Club
Veronica Ferro Interiors embarked on a distinctive design project at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois, challenging us to explore creativity in new and exciting ways. Known for its exclusive auto racing facilities, the club offers members the opportunity to customize both garage and living spaces. Our approach for this project was to channel the owner’s European modern style into a warm, inviting home rich in meticulous details.
Rather than opting for a racing-themed or overly modern aesthetic, we curated a space that exudes comfort and sophistication. The kitchen emerged as a focal point, meticulously designed with entertaining in mind. We introduced innovative materials, including wood-grained laminate cabinetry with a high gloss lacquer finish, a striking metallic brick backsplash, and countertops boasting a sleek leather finish.
Tailoring every aspect to our client’s preferences, the kitchen was outfitted with luxurious appliances, including a humidor, wine cooler, beer fridge, and espresso machine. The bathrooms received equal attention, with the first-floor bathroom adorned in white and gray porcelain tiles reminiscent of marble, and the master bathroom featuring antique tiles sourced from Iran, enhancing its elegance.
Completed in just over a year, Veronica Ferro Interiors transformed 5,000 square feet of garage space into a luxurious living environment that seamlessly blends European elegance with modern functionality.
